V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team Alumni Section

V.I. Jaguars Alumnus Leroy Blyden, Jr.

NBE would like to congratulate V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team alumnus Leroy Blyden, Jr. He played for the Jaguars for several years,  starting in 2018. He now plays basketball for the University of Toledo  Division 1 Basketball Team. Caribbean Rose, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of the homeless, disabled,  students, and children in the United States Virgin Islands. We proudly support the Pere Basile Moreau School in Haiti, the VI Jaguars  Basketball Team, and the MVP (Marine Vocational Program). V.I. Jaguars Alumnus K’Nard "KC" Callendar

NBE would like to congratulate V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team alumnus K’Nard "KC" Callendar. He played on the 2018 V.I. Jaguars  Basketball Team. He currently lives in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He is a high school student and plays basketball for the Royal Palm Beach High  School Wildcats.  

 He recently accepted a scholarship offer to play college basketball for  Kansas State University. Division 1 Basketball Team. He currently stands at six feet and eight inches tall. The Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball program is one of the most prestigious basketball programs in the country. Caribbean Rose, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of improving the lives of the homeless, disabled, students, and children in the United States Virgin Islands.

NBE presents the 2025 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team

NBE is proud to present the 2025 V.I. Jaguars  Basketball Team. The players are Caleeda Garvey, Kayden Dowey, Kaiden Maduro, Shakhory Penn, A'Ziaun Burnett, Kyle Gumbs Jr., Raheem Ashton, Osmarley Browne, Mali Pemberton,  Jeremy Valdez, Dajon George, and Derick Perez. All team and player expenses, which include travel expenses, league fees, uniforms, and equipment, are fully sponsored. Each year, the V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team travels to Puerto Rico, St.  Croix, and Florida to compete against other basketball teams. 

The 2024 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team

NBE is proud to present the 2024 V.I. Jaguars  Basketball Team. All team and player expenses, which include travel expenses, league fees, uniforms, and equipment are fully sponsored. Each year the V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team travels to Puerto Rico, St.  Croix, and Florida to compete against other basketball teams.

Introducing the 2023 V.I. Jaguars Small Fry Basketball Team

The 2023 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team competed in the 2023 Kenosha Small Fry Round Robbin Tournament. The tournament was a 3-team tournament featuring the V.I. Jaguars Basketball  Team, the Kenosha Small Fry Basketball Team, and the Windy City  Bulldogs Basketball Team.

March 2022 - Caribbean Rose is proud to announce that the 2022 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team will play a shortened season this academic school year. Locally, the government has lifted almost all COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Making it possible to play a shortened season. Listed below are all canceled events that were planned at the beginning of the season and a list of tournaments the 2022 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team will compete in this season. Events and dates are subject to change. The health and safety of all of our players come first.


The 2021 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team

January 2021 - ​​NBE, in conjunction with Caribbean Rose, made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 basketball season. The world is still being affected by the COVID-19 virus. It wouldn't have been irresponsible for our organization to hold tryouts and practices during this time. Even if the team wanted to travel restrictions imposed by the local government made that impossible. The Small Fry Basketball Association currently has dozens of Small Fry Basketball Teams throughout the United States,  Caribbean, & Latin America being affected by this pandemic.

On  September 6, 2017, Category 5 Hurricane Irma devastated the United  States Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. On September 20, 2017, another category 5 hurricane, Hurricane Maria, also hit both regions.  Nonetheless, the V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team competed in several tournaments this season. The 2018 V.I. Jaguars Basketball Team competed in the 2018 Positive Guidance tournament, the 2018 Paradise Showdown,  and the 50th Annual Small Fry International Tournament.

Unfortunately,  the Puerto Rico Small Fry Invitational Tournament was canceled for the  2018 season. The Puerto Rico Invitational is hosted by the Puerto Rico  Small Fry Basketball Team. As mentioned previously, Puerto Rico was devastated by both Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The Puerto Rico Small Fry Basketball Team opened a GoFundMe account to raise funds for travel and competition in the 50th Annual International Small Fry Tournament. Neltjeberg Bay Enterprises, in conjunction with Caribbean  Rose, proudly supported their efforts and encouraged everyone to donate towards this worthwhile endeavor.
